A: as a techpreneur, on a mission to solve the global inactivity crisis (yup ... it's kinda BIG), people can best support + engage with the work that I do by:
being open to trying something new (+ downloading MOVE Improve for free on the App Store)!, providing 100% honest feedback (good, bad, or indifferent), + sharing your ideas on how our digital platform can help people enjoy getting more active.
as someone who is in love with this city, people can best support + engage with ME by saying "hi!", asking questions + coming to YYC Run Crew + joining me for a casual run.

WHAT DOES 'ELEVATING COMMUNITY' MEAN TO YOU?
A: to me, a community is only as good as the quality of people who represent it. if you want to elevate community, you need to start by elevating people. SO ... this all starts with "you". I believe every human being has a "superpower". I'm not referring to feats of strength or the ability to read someone's mind. we all have something special inside that we give back to the world. it could be kindness, knowledge, compassion, creativity, leadership, or other very human traits. an elevated community brings together a combination of all of these superpowers (through their people), work together to do really cool sh*t, + inspire others to "do more + be more", too!
PUT YOURSELF BACK IN THE SHOES OF YOUR 15-YEAR-OLD SELF, WHAT WOULD YOU SHARE WITH THE 15-YEAR-OLDS OF 2020?
A: 1. laugh more (choose the people + do the things that make you giggle + smile).
2. don't be in a rush to "grow up". your childhood are the best years of your life ... + you should experience as much as you can before you can't, anymore. choose experiences before things.
3. popularity is an illusion (+ it really doesn't matter.)

A: I HEART CrushCamp!
prior to finding CrushCamp I had lost my love for studio-based fitness (after being "in it" for the last 20 years). but ... I was immediately "hooked" from the very first class. although I may not walk into the studio with a smile on my face, I always end up grinning from ear-to-ear about 10 minutes in (+ for the remainder of the class)! every member of the team knows how to make me feel: - welcome - appreciated - capable - strong - athletic - fast - super BADASS.

given the crazy times we are existing in right now, "Walk Me Home - P!nk" speaks to me. it makes me think about how much I've needed my community + a connection to "be myself" ... + that's it's okay to ask for help. if I had a second choice, it would be "KEEP MOVING - BRONSON, ODESZA". it was the song that got me through the SeaWheeze Virtual Half Marathon. I had been training all year for this event ... only to be hit with an injury during the race. I finished it ... but it was gruelling + the most challenging mental battle I had faced in a long time.
