LISA: my home made sourdough bread- it’s kind of a big deal around my house!
JODIE: AM = green smoothie + Vegemite + grilled cheese toast + Starbucks Strawberry Acai Refresher PM = Seed + Salt Tangled Thai Bowl or Ten Foot Henry kale salad or anything else from there!
what's on your nightstand?
LISA: I have insomnia sometimes so I always have a novel to dig into... nothing too cerebral just something to get lost in.. currently it’s ‘In a dark dark wood’ by Ruth Ware - I love a good thriller!
JODIE: Paw Paw Ointment [Aussie Staple], framed pic of the twins when they were newborns, phone so that I can play my white noise for sleeping (rain on a tin roof, can’t sleep without it), + whichever paperback that I have on the go. right now it’s ‘Bring the Joy’ by Jessica Jazen.
fave way to move your bod + where?
LISA: nightly walks with my kids, Bo + pups
JODIE: if I was still living in Australia, it would be morning beach runs. nothing + I mean NOTHING gives me the same feels as an ocean run. however, with limited beach access + the Canadian climate, I have become a SPIN addict. since COVID + the closure of my fave studio – YYC Cycle, I have been getting sweaty on my new Peloton bike. I’m truly addicted + look forward to a daily sweat sesh with Dennis, Robin, Alex or Emma. although I do miss the sense of community + the awesome YYC Motivators that I like to sweat with.
what are you watching/ listening to?
LISA: Schitt’s Creek - brilliant + hilarious
JODIE: I just finished all 3 seasons of OZARK, WOW! LOVED IT! then binge-watched WACO in 2 days. also right now listening to ‘Untamed’ by Glennon Doyle on audiobook. talk about an inspiring, badass, femme savauge!!!
what feels best on your bod right now?
LISA: it’s what feels best OFF my bod...through COVID I’ve been braless a lot.. seriously the BEST!
JODIE: every day it’s a hat or scarf around my head as my COVID hair needs a LOT of attention. + when I am not in my PJs, an oversized P+L Vintage sweatshirt [my 4 are on rotation, but ‘Killing it Softly’ gets the MOST love] with comfy ripped jeans + my fave kicks. it also feels really liberating not to have to wear make-up right now. so I’ve been focusing on really great skincare to get the best possible skin that I can.
